Earlier titled as Love Story, Kismat Talkies will mark the debut of Javed Akhtar’s daughter and Farhan Akhtar’s sister Zoya Akhtar as a director. The film will also mark the comeback of Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor who have earlier worked in films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Yaadein, Mujhe Dosti Karoge and Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon.

Rumours are there that Hrithik and Kareena have opted out of the film but the production house Excel Entertainments denies all such stories. Kareena Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan have earlier featured in four films and this will be the first time that they will be directed by a woman director.

The film is based on a romantic plot. After playing a double role in his debut Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai, Hrithik Roshan will be seen in yet another double role in Kismat Talkies. The story revolves around the confusion that is created due to the double role of the protagonist. Hrithik plays a model in the film. He is in complete awe of Priyanka Chopra. He even goes on to express his love for her but later on confusion infuses in the plot due to the love story that revolves around the look alike of Hrithik and Kareena Kapoor, a hooker.

The film’s soundtrack is being composed by ‘Teen Ka Kamaal’ trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The film’s plot has been knitted by Zoya Akhtar and the shooting of the film will begin in 2008 at various locales of India.

Zoya Akhtar was supposed to enter the film industry with ‘Luck By Chance’ as a director but the film did not go on the floors due to unknown reasons. Lets hope that kismat shines for Zoya through her Kismat Talkies.

Hrithik: Weighed down by his ‘kingly’ status!

He’s been a super-hero, alright, and no one dare deny his heroic powers, but the Roshan boy can’t carry on the weight of this super-status anymore. For his screen role, at least. Hrithik has to wear extremely heavy armor to look convincing as emperor in Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Jodha Akba. If carrying all that weight on his shoulders all day long wasn’t enough, the actor wakes up at 5am every morning, and drives for two and half hours to reach the location at Karjat in time. And all the way back, beating the Mumbai traffic. But the man still takes time out to exercise, spend dinner time with family and then sleep as early as he can to repeat the routine. Of course, his erstwhile 'Jodha', Aishwarya’s extended honeymoon and Cannes visit did throw the dates into a mini mess, but it didn't deter Hrithik from shooting and perfecting his parts. That's what makes him a true blue superstar and superhero, no?
